The study program “Master of Arts in Health Communication” offered by University of Erfurt is related to a major topic, namely the health promotion, which especially nowadays is very important in order to help preventing diseases and contribute to health care. Communication plays an essential role in the process. Health communication is a very specific area of research which cope with all kinds of health – relevant communication, no matter whether intended, media or intrapersonal. Moreover, it deals with the meanings and the outcomes of the communication. The interdisciplinary program focuses on the theory and application of health communication. Graduates of the program work in health and pharmaceuticals industries, hospitals, in health organisations or authorities, and etc.
