The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Music Education” offered by University of Erfurt provides students with comprehensive knowledge about music history, epochs, and theory. Participants will discuss sound samples of various musical styles and genres. They have also the opportunity to study music from other cultures as well as the mainstream genres of jazz, rock, and pop music. Moreover, students are trained in singing, choir practice, rhythmics, dance and etc. They also attend seminars, in which topics such as film music and non-European music are addressed. Graduates of the program work in the areas of teaching music in primary schools, leisure and media facilities for children, and etc.
