The certificate course “Protestant religious education” offered by University of Erfurt teaches students the links between faith and culture. During the classes participants will gain knowledge of biblical sources, ecclesiastical traditions and protestant doctrinal formation. Students will learn about the Protestant Church`s position in schools and in the multicultural society. Participants can learn only one set of prophets or one basic subject at a time such as Old and New Testament, Epoch of church history and etc. Graduates of the certificate course can be part of the teaching of Protestant religion at schools, if firstly do a teaching – oriented master degree. Other job options are in the fields of publishing, cultural organizations, consulting, and etc.
