The certificate course “Religious Studies” offered by University of Erfurt provides a minor subject. Considered in the course of study are the circumstances of emergence and transition, as well as traditional characterises of such systems (religions), their funding, organisation, philosophy, social effects, and individual orientation performance. Religious studies are offered in the areas – Latin Christianity, Orthodox Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and European polytheisms. During the program, students can gain a basic understanding of religious practices and how they function in different cultural environments. Graduates of the program decide on either teaching ethics in primary and regular schools, or working in the fields of public relations, publishing, cultural management, and etc.
