The study program “Master of Arts in Religious Studies” offered by University of Erfurt provides students with a comprehensive education about the Europe`s religious customs, from the past and the present. The course of study is in such way designed, as to use methodological approaches from disciplines such as History, Religious Studies and other relevant ones in order to aid to analyse the position of religion in the European societies. A focal point of students` study can be set, in accordance to their interests. Available for them are General Religious Studies, Jewish Studies, Islamic Studies and Cultural History of Orthodox Christianity. Every specialisation field has its own professor and researcher team. The main goal of the program is for students to gain expertise in their desired major and to grasp how to carry out researches on their own. Graduates of the program work in the areas of adult and teacher education, in media and travel companies and etc.
