The practice-oriented study program “Master of Arts in Special Needs and Integrational Education” offered by University of Erfurt provides the needed qualification for students, who want to work as professional support of people with disabilities and disadvantages, specifically in out-of-school contexts. The program`s main goal is to get students ready for work with children, adolescents, and adults, who need assistance with studying, language, behaviour, and intellectual growth. Participants gain thorough understanding of the various teaching methods that are specially designed for people with special needs, as well as how to help those people with their personal development, depending on their age and specific condition. Graduates of the program are active as professional support in homes. They work in special education institutions or in relevant places where they can contribute with their knowledge.
