The study program “Master of Education Special Needs Pedagogy” offered by University of Erfurt provides an education for people, who do not want to become ordinary teachers, but want to educate and help children with special conditions. After completion of the Master`s degree and based on the Bachelor degree that students already have done, they are ready to teach subjects, one primary school and one high school subject. They will be prepared to serve children and young people, in accordance with their particular conditions and special support needs. Moreover, students will learn about the opportunities for inclusive school growth and will gain experience in counselling. The curriculum is compound of three main areas – special education area, educational and training science, and specialist didactic area. Graduates of the program can work as professional assistance for people with disabilities and disadvantages in primary, regular and special schools, and also in support centres.
