The study program “Master of Education Vocational Schools” offered by University of Erfurt is suitable for all those who have already completed their bachelor`s degrees in one of the following areas: civil engineering, electrical engineering, metal technology, health, care, personal hygiene, social pedagogy, German, English, ethics, Protestant religious doctrine, French, Catholic religious doctrine, Mathematics, social studies and sport. The curriculum is compound of three main parts. Throughout the educational science area, students learn about the social requirements of vocational schools and are given a comprehensive teaching preparation. During the special didactic area`s classes, participants can gain topic and school style specific knowledge and skills on teaching and learning processes. In the classes, part of the special scientific area, students add to and expand on topic- specific material in a general subject. Available for them are German, English, French, ethics, Protestant or Catholic religious education, social studies, sport and mathematics. Graduates of the program usually become teachers at state and private vocational schools.
