The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Science in Biology” offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg provides a course of study with emphasis on biology. It is divided into practical and theoretical phases, at the end of it, participants write a Bachelor thesis. Some of the subjects covered in this course include Organizational forms and evolution of animals and plants, Biochemistry and Physiology of Organisms, Microbiology, genetics and molecular biology, Introduction to zoology with identification exercises, Botanical identification exercises, Zoological field exercise and many more. Furthermore, the course provides participants with an opportunity to select subject modules individually- three biological or two biological and one non-biological modules.
