The consecutive degree program “Master of Arts in Book Studies” is geared towards students who are interested in book studies and want to further develop their knowledge. The course of study amounts to four semesters. Offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, the curriculum consists of the subjects Philosophy of science, Transformation processes, Project work, Research Perspectives and many more.  Moreover, the core subjects are in media communication and media management. The method-oriented degree offers students the opportunity to acquire elective modules from other humanities. However, for admission to the course, a subject-related degree above average is a prerequisite.
