The degree program “Bachelor of Science in Business Mathematics” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The duration amounts to 6 semesters. Basic modules in analysis and linear algebra and compulsory modules stochastics and optimization are taught. Moreover, modules in minor economics and computer science minor are also incorporated. During the course, Stochastic modeling, Elementary stochastics of risk management, Mathematical modeling, Nonlinear Optimization, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Bookkeeping and other core areas are covered. In addition, students in the first semester have the opportunity to take part in refresher courses before starting their studies. Having gained competence in the field, graduates are able to build successful careers in the subfields of business mathematics.
