The consecutive degree program “Master of Science in Computer Science” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. It amounts to 4 semesters. The course of study has a modular structure. Among the modules taught are Theoretical Computer Science, System Simulation and Discrete Simulation. During the system-oriented curriculum, participants are given an opportunity to specialize in the following areas: Computer Architecture, Distributed Systems and Operating Systems, Communication Systems, Hardware-Software Co-Design and IT security. Among the application-oriented specializations are: Pattern Identifier, Graphic Data Processing, Electronics and Information Technology, Media Informatics, Computer Science in Education and Medical Informatics. In addition, there are options of specialization in the following areas Computer Science in Vehicle Technology or Heterogeneous Image Systems while studying the master’s degree.
