The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Digital Humanities and Social Sciences” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Spanning a standard duration of 6 semesters, the curriculum is aimed at students who are interested in computer sciences. The latter course has a modular structure. The mandatory modules: Basics of computer science, Conceptual modeling, Mathematics, Theoretical computer science, Basics of logic in computer science and more are covered in the program. Moreover, the core modules: Introduction to the digital humanities and social sciences, Use of digital data in the humanities and social sciences and Science and society in the digital age are aiming to deepen participants’ subject-specific skills. A practical module is also implemented, aiming to apply the theoretical knowledge gained into practice.
