Тhe consecutive degree program “Master of Arts in Digital Japanese Studies” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Spanning a standard duration of 4 semesters, the curriculum puts its emphasis on the topics of politics, media and society in Japan from the point of view of digitization. The latter course is geared towards students who seek to further develop their knowledge in digital humanities and social sciences. The elective area, modules of thesubjects communication studies, political science, media studies, computer and corpus linguistics, digital humanities and social sciences and book studies can be taken as well. However, the course is restricted in admissions and applicants are required to present a Bachelor's degree in Japanese Studies or a related subject.
