The teaching degree program “English (Teaching at Grammar Schools)” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The course of study is geared towards students who are interested in the language, literature and culture of English-speaking societies and has a length of 9 semesters. An emphasis is to be made by the choice of one of the fields of study: Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Literary Studies, American Studies, British Studies and more. The latter curriculum is also a prerequisite for further academic studies, for example in the Master's program. Moreoever, participants are able to take part in an internship in an English-speaking country.
