The state examination program “Food Chemistry” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. It amounts to 9 semesters. Basic and Main course are integrated.  In the basic course, General, inorganic, analytical, organic and physical chemistry, General and instrumental analytics, Physics and General botany of useful plants are taught. While in the main course, students get an in-depth knowledge in the subjects: Chemistry and analysis of food, consumer goods, cosmetic products and tobacco products, Technology of food, consumer goods, cosmetics and tobacco products, Product knowledge including the technology and analysis of feed and many more. In addition, Basics of food law, feed law and tobacco law are covered.
