The teaching degree program “History (Teaching at Primary Schools)” is geared towards students who are interested in historic science. Offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, the curriculum is spanning a standard duration of 7 semesters. The latter program can be studied in combination with another subject from the Faculty of Philosophy, which is part of the two-subject bachelor’s programs. Upon graduation, participants are able to become historians, to work in libraries and museums, history agencies, extracurricular educational institutions, radio and TV and many more. Moreover, participants are prepared for independent scientific work in the field of history. Eastern European Hisotry, Ancient History, Medieval History, History of the Early Modern Period, Contemporary History and many more core fields are taught.
