The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Islamic-Religious Studies” is spanning a standard duration of 6 semesters. Offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, the curriculum is geared towards students who want to gain basic knowledge related to Islam. Moreover, technical Arabic language is taught. Furthermore, Doctrine of Religion (doctrines of faith, doctrines of norms, methodology), Social Action (Muslim Life, Islam & Society, Islam & History) and Interdisciplinary References are also covered during the latter program. In addition, the subject can be combined as a second subject as part of the two-subject bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Philosophy. However, participants are required to proof sufficiency in at least two foreign languages.
