The teaching degree program “Italian (Teaching at Grammar Schools)” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. It amounts to 9 semesters. The course of study is divided into three phases. In the first, one-year study phase, students acquire the basic modules- language practice, linguistics and literary studies and others. While, in the advanced modules during the second phase of the program, students expand their methodological competencies. In addition, in the third study phase, further specialization takes place in a selected scientific area. Upon graduation, participants are able to build successful careers in the fields of information processing and documentation, journalism, librarianship and publishing, media, in adult education and many more.
