The teaching degree program “Mathematics (Teaching at Secondary Modern Schools)” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The course of study is geared towards students who are interested in one of the fundamental sciences - mathematics. The following has a length of 7 semesters. In the first year of study, a foundation and orientation examination must be passed. Algebra, Theory of Bodies, Introduction to Representation Theory, Geometry,Topology and other core areas are taught. In addition, an opportunity to select the following minor subjects is provided for the participants: inorganic chemistry, astronomy, business administration (BWL), experimental physics and others.
