The practice-oriented dual degree program “Bachelor of Science in Midwifery” is offered by University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. It is geared towards students who are keen on the idea to provide complete and comprehensive medical and psychosocial support to a patient durig pregnancy. The curriculum is taught in German language and amounts to 7 semesters. At the end of their studies, students write a bachelor's thesis and take a state exam in a skills lab. The core areas: midwifery in theory and practice, theoretical medicine and natural sciences, health and social sciences and midwifery skills are acquired during the course curriculum.
