Description
The research-oriented degree program “Master of Arts in Education in Europe” is offered by the University of Flensburg and lasts four semesters. It is steered to provide students with deep learnings of non-school education in and through Europe. There are elective modules in "Education in Childhood and Adolescence" and "Education in Adulthood". During the study course, applicants will examine general educational science, perusal of European educational policy, studies of intercultural education and cultural comparisons. Furthermore, there is an internship semester in which graduates will take part into an action-based examination and reflection of the conditions of pedagogical action in specific contexts. Some of the optional courses with an international aspect are European Studies, Sociology, Economics of Education, Philosophy of Education, Media Education, Counseling and Organizational Psychology. Participants will be highly knowledged and qualified to take positions related to conceptual activities and complex mediation tasks in global educational, social and cultural institutions, management positions at non-governmental organizations or research institutions.
