The study course “Master of Education in Teaching in Primary Schools” is provided by the University of Flensburg and lasts four semesters. The main objective is to provide participants with academic knowledge and competencies to become successful teachers in this complex and challenging profession. Throughout the program, students will learn profoundly about pedagogy, psychology, didactics, educational science. Some of the topics which are taught, are German as a second language, inclusion, dealing with heterogeneity, diagnosis and support, media pedagogy and school development. There is a strong emphasis on hands-on experience via frameworks, seminars and workshops in the practical semester which can be held either in Germany or abroad. Upon completion the entire program, alumni will be highly knowledged and experienced in that field, consequently their students will grow as strong individuals and professionals in configurating a society.
