Description
The consecutive degree progam “Master of Engineering in Energy and Environmental Management in Industrial Countries” is provided by the University of Flensburg and lasts three semesters. It is geared toward providing graduates with profound learnings of identifying, analyzing problems in the energy and environmental sector, to cultivate solutions and successfully apply those solutions. Throughout the study course, students will possess with toolkit, understanding of categorization and solution approaches in social, political and legal dimension. The practical aspect of the program is expressed by numerous research projects, which are related to explore the possibilities to transform the energy system in various countries of the world and developing strategies to accomplish climate neutrality of cities and regions. Topics, which are taught in this program are Engineering and economics, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Energy economics and energy and environmental management, Renewable energy sources and rational energy use. After completion the program, students can start working at various organizations in the spheres of strategic planning, power plant and grid planning, dispatch, deployment of renewable energy sources, forecasting of intermittent energy sources, load forecasting, power trading, risk management, energy services and contracting, emission allowance trading, environmental management, environmental policies, energy and environmental systems research institutions, associations of the energy and environmental sector or authorities and ministries.
