The consecutive production- and customer-oriented degree program “ Teaching at Vocational Colleges - Vocational Education: Nutrition and Home Economics” at the University of Flensburg consists of four semesters. It is aimed to provide students with professional knowledge so they can take lucrative work at professions of the hospitality and food service industries. It includes profound learnings of commercial-technical food production occupations and personal service-oriented food service and hospitality occupations. Postgraduates obtain vocational and subject-related scientific as well as didactic-curricular competencies, which are necessary for a teaching profession in planning, implementation and assessent of vocational teaching-learning operations at vocational schools.
