Multicultural classroom with people (now best friends) from 29 nationalities.
I cherish several experiences, I have made in this program. The one that I cherish the most is the trip to Schauinsland with classmates and the course coordinator. I still remember that we went to Schauinsland after completion of exam to enjoy the winter. We hiked to the mountain top and played several games. Then we experienced snowfall followed by a bonfire. Other experience that comes to my mind includes the visits to powerplant and grids to have a clear understanding of Energy Systems Operations. While my coursework gave me the theoretical know how about energy systems, I got the chance to learn nuances in the world by working part time at Fraunhofer ISE. This helped me not only learn about state of the art technologies but also develop professional contacts in my field. As far as coursework is considered, I enjoyed the coursework done in the third semester the most as the subjects were very informative. I was literally living between one project deadline to another and was enriching myself with knowledge every day. The one thing that I disliked about the coursework and would like to change were some subjects from my bachelor's. I feel they could be replaced with other subjects. Overall, I believe the coursework could be improved but at the same time, I cherish the fun hikes and get-togethers that I had with classmates which help me to pass the pandemic time with a certain ease. Additionally, I love the atmosphere and facilities provided by the city to university students. So I feel lucky that I got to be a part of such a course.

Renewable Energy Engineering and Management (known as REM), Renewable course in English
Recommended: Yes
This course has two main stream one is Management track and the second one Engineering track. I have taken an Engineering track. First of all I will start with first year of course as it is mentioned in the course book; which is available on university website there first year we don't have too much flexibility to study the course. Most of subjects are useless in the first year apart from the wind energy and hydropower. There are some stupid things about the course there your luck will decide which subject you are going to study during the course. If you are lucky you will get wind energy. Now if you are mechanical engineer then I will suggest before starting your course that you should know Python or Matlab at least, Becasue Python and Matlab are one of the most important software for engineering life even this is useful from all Engineering branch. But I feel that programming is very tough for the mechanical backgraoung students they came without any preparation in renewable Energy subjects. This course is more important for Electrical engineering students compare to the mechanical students because they much more opportunities compare to the other branch. For example in third semester university offering smart grid, Modeling and system identification and complex network subject which are the most important subject for the students of Electrical engineering to build their career in smart grid sector. However python subjects is offered in the but it is also has onlöy limited seats and luck base selection which has no sense but this is the reality of course. Otherwise for mechanical student there is limited option like Energy in building sector. I would suggest the students to go sustainable system course for Master in that track you have more option to select the subijectz in different field compare to other field such as student can go hydrogen technology or energy system operation.
