Description
Social History is the study of human behavior, culture and individuals throughout history. It focuses on social structures and the interaction between different groups and people in society. Social History is a fascinating field which gives in-depth information about how society has functioned through the ages and what behavioral patterns in groups of people or individuals can be traced and examined. Social History students have the chance to study subjects like Cultural History, European Cities, Travel, Tourism & Exploration, Human Geography, Political Theory, International Relations, Comparative Politics, Micro- and Macroeconomics, Social Change, Public Policy and more, and also conduct extensive research in the field, which provides them with valuable skills, like critical and logical thinking, analyzing, decision making, problem solving and strong written and verbal communication. A degree course in Social History prepares students for a variety of jobs. For example, graduates can work as politicians, librarians, teachers, curators, cultural resources managers, historical consultants, historians, archivists, policy advisors, museum professionals, media producers, historic preservationists and many more.
