The “Bachelor of Arts in Slavic Studies” is offered at the Justus Liebig University Giessen. This course is six-semester, German-taught program. The main goal of this undergraduate degree is to introduce the students to the Slavic studies. Furthermore, the students will expand their knowledge and academic abilities in the fields of Slavic linguistic, literature, culture and language, as well as sociology, Slavic language history, and political sciences. The students also can choose to learn Russian, Polish, Czech, Ukrainian studies, etc. The future graduates will be well-prepared to work across communication services, foreign language departments, public relations, translation agencies, education and many others. The admission requirements include a general university entry certificate, as well as language skills.
