The “Master of Arts in Arabic Studies/Islamic Studies” is a German-taught program with a duration of 4 semesters. It is a continuation of the BA program in the subject offered at the University of Göttingen. Throughout their education, students will further their theoretical knowledge and gain practical relevance. The MA aims to instil a deeper understanding of the development of Islam as a religion and a way of living. Furthermore, students will acquire specific competencies needed for independent scientific work. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified for positions in diplomatic services, national and international organizations, museums, libraries, and publishing houses.
