The PhD program “Behavior and Cognition” is a 4-semester program conducted in English. It is designed for people with a Master’s degree in Biology or Psychology, or related degrees in natural sciences. During their education, students will gain a fundamental understanding of the evolution of nonhuman and human primate behaviour. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses with main topics of evolution of social behaviour, group behaviour and coordination, developmental psychology, and cognitive and physiological foundations of behaviour. The PhD program is research-oriented, so participants will have the opportunity to plan and conduct scientific work individually. The program provides students with key competencies needed for a successful career in the field.
