The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Art History” at University of Greifswald provides a full-time study course with duration of six semesters. It is taught in German. This study course is aiming at people that are interested in the origin, function and impact as well as the social context of works of fine arts and architecture in Europe and European influence cultures from the early Middle Ages to the present day. Throughout their studies participants will learn how to work on subject-specific research, methodology, Basic theoretical knowledge and ability to analyse objects in architecture, painting, graphics, sculptures, design, photography and many more. Some modules that this course covers our art and its objects, history of European art, introduction to art science, history of photography, history of the category and more. After successfully completing their studies graduates are qualified to work as educators in art history or in fine arts galleries.
