The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Baltic Studies” at University of Greifswald provides a full-time study course with duration of six semesters. It is taught in both German, Lithuanian/Latvian. This study course’s main focus is one of the humanities that deals with Baltic philology, the languages in the literatures of the Lithuanians in Latvians, as well as the position of the Prussian in the language and cultural history of the Balts. Some modules covered by this program are philology, linguistics, literary studies, folklore, regional studies and more. After successfully completing this course graduates have a wide variety of career paths and they are qualified to work in fields such as cultural, economic and political institutions as they have gained knowledge in the field of cultural and historical development and the current problems of the Baltic people.
