Description
The degree program “Master of Science in Biomathematics” at University of Greifswald provides a full-time study course with a duration of four semesters. Biomathematics is a modern, interdisciplinary course that focuses on training mathematicians with special knowledge in various disciplines of biology as well as the necessary basic knowledge from the natural sciences, such as chemistry, physics, pharmacy. Throughout their studies participants will learn how to describe problems from biology and other life sciences in abstract mathematical models and based on such models to carry out quantitative analyses or to develop methods for solving specific problems. Some modules that are included in this course are numerical mathematics, liner algebra and analytical geometry, statistical methods, computer algebra systems, biochemistry, biotechnology, genetics, ecology and more.
