The degree program “Master of Arts in Culture – Interculturality – Literature” at University of Greifswald provides a full-time study course with a duration of four semesters. This degree program is aimed at people with bachelor’s degree in some of the following: English/American studies, German studies, Scandinavian studies or Slavic studies. Throughout this course participants will focus mainly on research, as well as learning special ways to work in intercultural and international contact zones and promote the development of critical, cosmopolitan, responsible and creative personalities. During their studies students will focus on topics such as literacy skills, culture, interculturality and transculturality, as well as critical examination of foreignness and the management of intercultural communication situations. Depending on the individual focus graduates are qualified to work in fields, such as culture and education management, journalism, publishing, press and public relations, politics, international organisations, foundations or universities.
