“Elementary School Teaching’’ is a state examination program offered at University of Greifswald. Within the course of ten semesters, students will acquire didactics knowledge as well as pedagogical skills necessary for practicing the teacher profession at elementary schools. All students must study four subjects of which German and Mathematics are compulsory. For the third and the fourth subjects, participants can choose from Polish, Low German, Media Education, Psychology, and others. In addition to the theoretical training, students will spend the entire nineth semester at a school in order to gain practical experience and apply their theory into practice.
