The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in History” at University of Greifswald provides a full-time study course with a duration of six semesters. It is taught in German. This study course is aiming at people that are interested in past times and history in general. Throughout their studies participants will learn how to reflect on the fundamentally unfinished and controversial character of historical research and storytelling and to apply elementary skills, especially with regard to historical thought operation and methods in professional practice. Subjects included in this program our history of India, ancient world history, world politics, European history, history of Latin America, history of East Asia, transformation of Europe and more. After successfully completing their studies graduates are qualified to work in areas such as the public service (cultural sector), museums, archives, media, in the tourism industry, in the PR sector, in associations, politics, political education and more.
