The degree program “Master of Science in Landscape Ecology & Nature Conservation” at University of Greifswald provides a full-time study course with a duration of four semesters. This degree program is transdisciplinary and is focused on teaching content from the humanities and economics subjects through the integration of landscape economics and environmental ethics. During their studies participants will develop skills for the independent solution of complex research tasks, as well as focus on research. The modules covered by this program are: biology, landscape ecology and ecosystem dynamics, peatland sciences, environmental economics, environmental ethics, limnology, geography, geology and more. Graduates of this course can start a career in landscape and nature conservation research, national and international nature conservation organisations and associations, landscape planning and consultancy offices, environmental and nature conservation administration or private companies.
