University of Greifswald offers the ten-semester state examination program “Regional School Teaching’’. By enrolling in this course, students will acquire subject-didactic education along with pedagogical skills necessary for teaching from fifth to tenth grade at regional schools. The degree content requires participants to combine freely two subjects that will be studies in-depth. In addition to these, the curriculum also features education sciences and psychology as well as subject didactics. At the end of the study course, students must write a thesis in one of the two chose subjects, the educational sciences or the subject didactics.
