The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Scandinavian Studies” at University of Greifswald provides a full-time study course with a duration of six semesters. This study course mainly focuses on people that are interested in foreign languages and want to learn them intensively and persistently. Throughout this program participants will learn more about the history of language in the literature from the Middle Ages to the present days, as well as their theoretical context, writing and reading skills. Some subjects covered by this program are basic modern Icelandic, Finnish language, intermediate old Norse, Nordic cinema, Scandinavian literature in context and more. After successfully completing this degree graduates are qualified to work as: creative coordinator and editor, instructional designer, teacher and many more.
