The aim of the degree program is to introduce the commonly exploited computational, statistical and analytical approaches to post genomic biology and genetics. Participants of the degree program will develop key skills for the analyses of omics data including genomics data from next generation sequencing technologies. Additional skills around emerging omics including metabolomics and proteomics will also be developed during the study process. Within the study structure there is the possibility for student to specialize in three areas, including Genomics, Structural Bioinformatics and Cheminformatics. Graduates of the Master's degree program in Bioinformatics have many career pathways. They can work at the interface between information technology, biology, chemistry, medicine as well as pharmacy.
