Students will be taught a selection of both British and American novels, plays and poems that changed the way we think about crucial social issues. Graduates of the degree program have many career opportunities open to them in the fields of communications, media, trade, business, banking, publishing, and other areas requiring background knowledge and understanding of cultures in English speaking world Some take the traditional employment routes of arts students – journalism, teacher training and the public services, while others begin careers in commerce and industry.
