‘’Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies with a Focus on Korean Studies’’ is an eight-semester degree program provided at University of Hamburg. This course imparts specialist knowledge in Korean language and culture. Furthermore, participants will also take at least two semesters in modern Chinese or Japanese. Through intensive language training, students learn about the East Asian culture and particularly one region. In addition to the theoretical training, a stay abroad at a university in that specific region is required. Graduates can choose to either continue with their studies or start with their professional careers. They can work in the fields of tourism, banking, public relations, media, further education, and more.
