Description

The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Economy and Culture of China” at the University of Hamburg is designed to introduce to students the exciting and various aspects and consequences of China's developmental economy and culture. The course of studies is a combination of three major subjects, namely Business Administration, Economics and Sinology. Different subjects require different ways of studying. Participants will need to develop different study techniques for working with business and economics courses, cultural and societal courses, and Chinese language studies This Bachelor's degree program provides students with both in-depth initial technical-economic education training and communication skills, as well as with a significant language component. The Bachelor's degree qualifies students for taking part in a similar Master's degree program, since the corresponding “Master of Arts in Economy and Culture of China” is no longer an option at the University of Hamburg. Graduates take on positions in economic departments of banks, insurance companies, or start working in the industry. Among the program’s career prospects are all kinds of jobs related to the culture and/or the economy of China.
