Description
The degree program “European Master in Classical Cultures” at the University of Hamburg is a four-semester course of studies focused on ancient history, archaeology, literature as well as philology. It is designed to provide students with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Greco-Roman and Mediterranean cultures. The course of studies is part of the international degree programs, in the course of which students have to study at least two different universities from nine different countries. The University of Hamburg has contracts with a total of twelve universities in Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Austria, Spain, Poland, Turkey, and Cyprus. As part of the internship phase, students gain experience in leading institutions, including the German Archaeological Institute. That way, participants also have the chance to improve their linguistic and communication skills. Upon graduation, participants of the Master's degree program can find jobs in IT companies, in exchange organizations, museums, as well as in the field of publishing both in Germany and abroad.
