The study program “B.Sc. Geography International” is an unique four-year study program with a mandatory year abroad. It is a variation of the three-year Bachelor of Science in Geography program with an additional international orientation during the second academic year. The students are required to spend two semesters abroad, and they can choose between two models: "a study abroad" (two semesters) or "study & internship abroad" (one semester of studying and a four-month internship). The program increases students’ chances for pursuing a career in an international environment, i.e. not only in Germany but also abroad. Graduates will be qualified for positions in different areas, including Nature Conservation and Landscape Planning, Development Cooperation, Urban Renewal and Urban Redevelopment, Business Development and Real Estate. A career in Tourism and Public Relations are also among the career options of the program’s participants.
