The four-semester Master of Arts program “Greek and Latin Philology’’ is offered at University of Hamburg. What makes this program unique is that it combines in itself the traditional subjects taught at other universities such as Classical Philology, Byzantine Studies, and Modern Greek Philology. This approach allows students to receive more in-depth knowledge of the history, languages and literatures of the associated cultures. Furthermore, students can choose what subjects to focus on by selecting one of the following specialist profiles: Greek, Latin or Byzantine and Modern Greek Philology. Graduates can either continue with their studies and pursue a doctorate or seek professional development in fields such as adult education, library and publishing, museums, archives, and others.
