The six-semester study program ‘’Bachelor of Arts in History/Histoire (HamBord)’’ is offered at University of Hamburg. This is a bilingual course that can be studied in both German and French. With this course of study, students will acquire key technical, methodological, and theoretical skills and abilities that can be applied in different scientific activities at a later stage. What is more, the focus of the curriculum falls on German and French- language historiography and Franco-German history. Participants will find this program quite interesting as it places a strong emphasis on joint study practices that involve students from both Germany and France. Semester one, two and four are taken in Hamburg, whereas semesters three, five and six are taken in Bordeaux. Such approach allows students to learn from firs-hand experience about the similarities and differences between both cultures.
