The study program "Bachelor of Science in Business Engineering” is offered by two Hamburg universities – University of Hamburg and Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Hamburg University provides an economic education, while Hamburg University of Applied Sciences is responsible for teaching Science and Engineering to participants. The course of studies aims to convey a basic insight in the functioning of a company in a general economic and social context, and to educate students so that they start a career within this environment. The Bachelor's program also includes a nine-week technical internship that brings practical experience to students so they will be better prepared for their future career in this area. After successfully graduating from the Bachelor's degree program, students can either continue their scientific education through a Master's degree/doctoral program, or directly enter their professional life. Graduates can build their career in Manufacturing, Production, Business and Technology. Other career prospects are positions in the fields of Controlling, as well as Marketing and Sales.
