Description
The study program “Master of Arts in International Criminology” at the University of Hamburg is offers students the opportunity to study criminology at an advanced level. The course of studies encompasses in-depth investigation of major theoretical and substantive issues in contemporary criminology from a critical perspective and within an international context. During the study process, participants will learn to combine insights and methodologies from several different disciplines, including criminology, law, psychology, sociology and political science. Employment opportunities for criminology graduates continue to expand both in Germany and abroad with a variety of positions in criminal justice agencies, including the police service, probation service as well as prison service. Graduates have also the opportunity to take on jobs in the fields of social care, crime prevention or victim support.
