The Bachelor of Arts study program in “Latin American Studies’’ is offered at University of Hamburg. With a duration of six semesters, this course can be selected as a minor or supplementary subject by prospective students who are pursuing a B.A. or a B.Sc. in Geography. Throughout the program, participants will acquire expertise in either Spanish or Portuguese. Furthermore, the course also imparts region-specific knowledge and thus allows students to develop a better understanding of the Latin American region. Some of the modules featured in this degree content are Introduction to Latin American Studies, Geography & Society, History & Indigenous Cultures in a Regional Context, Language and Literature, and others.
